The Country School Association for Pre-Kindergarten through second grade offers a state of the art education with parental freedom and choice at its core.  Its purpose is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for school age children to grow and thrive.  Students gain a strong foundation across subject areas through hands on project based learning.  Through our unique, standards based curriculum students learn how to walk through the world mindfully, being aware of themselves and others with kindness and equity at the forefront.  Through a daily rhythm of guided play, academics, the creative arts we foster the imagination of the young child. 

The Country School Association provides an active learning environment with our primary approach to learning focused on intentional planning and learning experiences that encourage participation, involve multiple contexts, and engages the senses that help children explore their environment. Our multi-dimensional curriculum is integrated and occurs simultaneously across all domains.

Students are encouraged to solve problems by critical thinking and apply creative solutions. We provide ample time for children to learn through play by encouraging small and large group socialization activities as well as direct class instruction and one-on-one support. Teachers work side by side with students to promote optimal learning. Our “whole child” curriculum integrates wellness, academics, creative arts and life building skills to provide a well-rounded basis for learning and growing. We promote independence, good decision-making skills, and self-esteem building activities to create a superior foundation in early childhood and elementary education for each student.
